GOLDEN STATE ROWING CLUB
GSRC was started to fill a gap in the youth sports world, to craft an experience like nothing else for young athletes.
Our sport is rowing - and through rowing, we aim to create a high-performing program that develops youth into national and international level racers, who are prepared to succeed in the sport and beyond.
Our team is a community - one that lifts each other up to achieve more than an individual could imagine.

Holistic Development - we believe we have the opportunity to develop more than just great rowers; we also aim to equip athletes with skills of goal setting, planning, execution, and leadership. We want athletes to come out of the program not just fast rowers - but prepared for whatever their next step is.

Individuality - we believe in every athlete that rows with us. We put together individual plans and pathways to help each athlete achieve the goals they set for themselves.
Keep it fun - we believe it's critical to make the experience fun. We strive to make Golden State a place where athletes look forward to coming every day!
Developing athletes, not just rowers - we believe it is critical in high school to develop a well-rounded athleticism. We do a significant amount of sport-specific training, but also a lot of cross-training - whether on the bike, in the pool, or on the field.
Injury prevention - continuous training over multiple years is key to success. Thus, our training is focused on ensuring longevity in the sport.
Athlete retention - our coaching team has a strong track record for earning the respect and loyalty of athletes. We create a program where kids want to come back year after year, and then continue their success. Our alumni have a strong and broad record of success after their time with us: 100% of recruits from our coaching staff have made their college's top varsity boat in the first two years.
